CYBS All Stars Standings

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, CYBS's first All Stars team ever put their names in Calimesa's history book with the teams first win over Temecula All Stars, topping them in 6 innings with a 13 to 12 victory. Going into the fifth inning all tied at eight, CYBS held Temecula to only four runs in the top of the inning, falling behind 12-8.

This young All Stars team found themselves trailing by four, not playing as perfect as they wanted, and needing to find the focus and level of play that got them the label of an all star. The fans of the game were in for an inning that would leave one side in amazement and the other in disbelief. This is the record of how Calimesa Youth Baseball and Softball was able to win the first all star game ever. They wanted the first all star team to get the first all star win and they made sure they rose to the challenge.

The bottom of the fifth featured a lead off double by Lawson Kelly, followed by Diesel Johnson's infield single, sending Kelly to third. Axel Johnson gets an RBI as Kelly scores on the error by the short stop, leaving two on and nobody out, with the middle of the order coming up. Emillio Meza lines out to the pitcher for the first out. Ryan Granados gets on with the fielders choice force at second for the second out leaving runners on the corners.

Jameson Gilmet comes to the plate as the tying run and shows why he is an All Star and blisters a double past the third baseman scoring Diesel, leaving the tying run on second with two down. Langston Greene puts an RBI single down third base line, scoring Granados, advancing Jameson Gilmet to third as the tying run, and Greene, the go ahead run on first, still with two outs. Brother Jackson Gilmet, scores Jameson to tie the game with an infield single, leaving first and second, two down.

Samuel Jacob number 57 comes to the plate 2 for 2, with a double and single, two down and hits his second double of the day. Jacob's perfect day at the plate turns out to be the go ahead RBI double to take the lead 13-12 over Temecula with the fifth run of the inning when Greene touches the plate.

CYBS is now within three outs of their first victory going into the top of the sixth with a one run lead. To start off the top of the six with a leadoff single, Temecula has the tying run on first, nobody out, and the top of the order up to bat. With the game on the line, CYBS defense stepped up and short stop Lozano made the next two outs with a force out at second. Second baseman Lawson Kelly returns the final out to Lozano with the force at second to win the game and notch their place in CYBS History with Calimesa's first all star win ever.

Despite making three errors in as many innings, Calimesa flips the script on Temecula in the bottom of the fifth and puts up a crooked number scoring 5 to take the lead into the sixth, and win the game. CYBS put 14 hits together in the game and was lead by Langston Greene with three RBI from the eight spot in the lineup and went 2 for 3 on the day. Samuel Jacob has the game of his life with the game winning double in the bottom of the fifth and was perfect for the day going 3 for 3 with two doubles, a single, 2 RBI, one run scored and 5 total bases. Calimesa proved why they can win with two more perfect days at the plate by Lawson Kelly and Diesel Johnson, both going 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI each.

Calimesa Youth Baseball Softball Pinto All Stars advances to the next round of tournament play on Tuesday, June 23 at 5:00pm. CYBS concluded the tournament with a great start to the game putting up 4 in the top of the first, but failed to stop Murrieta from scoring the max runs allowed per inning for the first 4 innings and found themselves in a mercy ruling to end the season and all stars play for 2026. CYBS want to thanks all the parents that made this possible and the support this team received to be able to play without distractions. We sincerely thank those who provided the amazing support to this team of young all stars, we are in complete gratitude of yur kind support. It is efforts like we encountered this All Stars play that make us truly believe we have a solid future for our young athletes to have a place to develop and build their skills in becoming a competetive baseball and softball player. CYBS wants to acknowledge the quality and level of professionalism that every team experienced from the host league, with Tourney Director Doug Hinge overseeing this Pony All Stars Tournament at Morrison Park in Moreno Valley located at 26667 Dracaea Ave. off of Nason Street.
